NOV & DEC FAVORITES

NOV & DEC FAVORITES

Hey there Dewyfaces! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and blessed festive season. Is it just me or do you also feel like the end of year always comes as a bit of a surprise?! I couldn't fathom were the time had gone when Christmas was already upon us. November and December just flew by that I missed the opportunity to include my November favorites post. So I've decided to combine my favorite products from November to December for you.

1. Mamonde Rose Water Toner

So this toner has been a top-pick of mine for quite some time. I recommended it to my mom and sister when I was still living in South Korea. I would send some skincare goodies to them whenever I got the chance and along the way I introduced them to the wonders of Korean skincare products. They rave about this product and so do I. It's our go to toner!

Did you know that rose water helps reduce redness and soothes irritated skin with its natural anti-inflammatory properties? You will find this toner to be extremely helpful to unclog-pores and fight acne by effectively clearing any excess dirt or oil build-up. What's great is that this formulation is so pure and gentle to your skin it will even help soothe skin suffering from dermatitis and eczema.

Rose water is really a miracle ingredient for skincare and this toner will remain one of my best found K-beauty products!

2. Etude House Moistful Collagen Water Jelly

When I discovered this product for myself in Korea, I knew it was going to be a hit! It was my first time to try a jelly formulation and wow was I pleased. Not only was I hooked but I've been so thrilled to receive such great feedback from the Dewyfaces that have tried it and have come back for more.

You might have noticed recently other European and Western skincare brands have adopted the K-beauty jelly creams and have brought out their own versions of jellies. Interesting and exciting to see how K-beauty is becoming a leading influencer within the skincare industry. For more insight into the jelly phenomena you might enjoy this article from vogue.

3. Missha All-around Safe Block Sun milk - Essence

Well I couldn't let summer go by without telling you about my go-to K-beauty sunblock. Since summer holiday is upon us, I'm sure many of you have been soaking up some summer sunshine. Not only is it important to take extra care of protecting your skin in the summer season but it's a must throughout the year come rain or shine. That's why I enjoy using this Essence sun milk from Missha.

The light weight watery formula lends itself to daily use. It has the benefits of an essence and the much needed protection from the harmful UV rays with a SPF50 PA+++. SPF is the level of protection provided from UVB rays while the PA indicates the level of protection against UVA rays.

The PA is a Japanese measurement which is now widely used that stands for Protection Grade. This measurement is based on the Persistent Pigment Darkening (PPD) reaction reading measured at 2-4 hours of exposure to the sun.

PA +++ is currently the highest level of protection against UVA rays available. PA +++ is formulated to protect normal skin against very strong UV radiation by providing a PPD factor of more than 8. Missha's Essence Sun Milk leaves no white-cast and has a smooth application without oily or sticky feel. Perfect for layering under make-up aswell!

4. Etude House Baking Powder B.B Deep Cleansing Foam

Here's to another skincare ingredient that deserves recognition, Baking Powder. Thanks to Etude House for introducing me to another K-beauty fave of mine. I've been using the B.B Deep Cleansing foam daily and I'm loving how effective it is at removing excess sebum and helping to clear out acne. I love this formulation because it's not harsh on the skin. The foamy consistency is soothing and it doesn't leave my skin feeling dried out. Plus the small baking powder granules gives the added benefit of light exfoliation.

5. BANILA CO Hi Bye Soothing Sheet Mask

Whenever I feel my skin is dry and irritated I always reach for a soothing mask sheet type to help boost my skins moisture levels. This mask sheet from Banila Co. is infused with Calendula water, derived from the Calendula plant this beneficial ingredient helps to reduce skin inflammation. Calendula is a medicinal plant used to treat various skin diseases, ranging from eczema to healing wounds or ulcers. After a day of sun bathing why not give your skin some love with this soothing mask sheet.

And so we say goodbye to 2018 with a  wrap-up of our list of favorites for now. I don't know about you but 2018 was a rough one for me so I'm pretty happy to bid it farewell and look forward to the new year ahead. May all the lovely Dewyfaces have a blessed festive season and may 2019 bring breakthrough in all aspects of your life!
